Last week my boss sent an email about a weight loss challenge at work. I have been thinking about it for a year now but I have needed that little push. I have explored Jenny Craig, but the price of food stops me, I have done Weight Watchers but I didn't have the patience counting out points of everything I ate and I have also done diet workshop but it wasn't successful. I bought a 4 year gym membership to Premier Ladies Fitness about a year and a half ago but I have maybe gone five times max. I have been told by numerous people that the best way to lose weight is to place yourself in the public eye and write everything down. The good and the bad. So this is the start, the pre-weighing background information. In about an hour I will weigh myself and start this weight loss challenge. The goal is to update the blog once per week.
With this weight loss challenge they are going to focus on pounds, push-ups, sit ups, inches and BMI. To say I am scared to get on the scale is an understatement. I have gone up 6 pant sizes in the last 5 years and 2 shirt sizes. Now I have weighted myself during those years but never to this extent. I am as focused as I was freshman year of college to not gain the "freshman 15". I lost 15 pounds my freshman year and I hope to lose at least 40 this year. Inches I think are going to be my main focus because lately I have been having back pain. Now most women when they have back pain it is because of their boobs are too big, but it's the opposite for me. I must say FINALLY graduating to a C cup has been the highlight of this weight gain and my number one fear of loosing weight is going back to an A cup. However back to the back pain, I have always had issues with my lower back but lately it has been so bad I can't sleep. My stomach has gotten larger and I can feel and see it. I look 5 months pregnant. So losing inches off my middle section will help me in the health department. I do still want to keep my butt though!! :)
So here goes nothing! A weekly update and a weekly picture. A way for the world to hold me accountable to loose this weight. Here we go.....I hope I am ready for this!!!!
